Morse Learning Tree…turn left at the first Dit
This is quite cool. It’s a learning tree for figuring out morse for folks that know absolutely nothing about CW. If you hear a dit, go left, if you hear a dah, go right. Pretty neat.
QRP Radios and Octopus Sex
A couple of lines from a recent eBay listing for a Super RM QRP rig.
3 , the use of high -quality audio op amp to do the second active filter , and its very low noise floor , excellent amplitude-frequency characteristics greatly improved listening experience octopus .
4 , the power upgrade to 4W (D882 output ) , while the use of American ring kit (FT37-43 and T37-2) two each , so that the ” octopus ” with more remote communication capabilities , greatly enhance the ” octopus ” utility sex !
I mean….really? Everyone knows that octopus sex robs a QRP rig of significant power and can create unwanted QRM at the input connector.
Geez, someone should talk to these Chinese engineers about the potential of hurting wildlife as a result of their careless design innovations.

As a leading authority on cipher machines and the Enigma in particular, he gave a most excellent talk about the Enigma Machine at our last meeting. New Morse System for the Disabled
I could make a lot of jokes about this way of sending morse, but when I think about it for even a moment, those of us that can sit down in good health and enjoy our hobby are so incredibly lucky. Never forget that.
